Victory Day Reception Held in Oman to Celebrate Azerbaijan’s Triumph
On November 6, 2025, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Sultanate of Oman held an event dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the 8th of November – Victory Day.
The event brought together members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of Oman’s business community, local media representatives, as well as members of the Azerbaijani community residing in Oman.
The event was opened by HE Rashad Ismayilov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Sultanate of Oman, who welcomed the guests and emphasized the deep moral and historical significance of Victory Day for the people of Azerbaijan. The Ambassador highlighted that during the 44-day Patriotic War, under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Victorious Commander-in-Chief HE Ilham Aliyev, the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan restored historical justice and the country’s territorial integrity.
In his speech, the Ambassador also provided information about Azerbaijan’s reconstruction and restoration efforts in the post-war period, as well as the country’s policy aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the region.
The event was attended by the Ambassadors of Türkiye, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to Oman, as well as representatives of other diplomatic missions.
During the event, a video dedicated to Victory Day was screened, Azerbaijani musical performances were presented, and guests were offered traditional dishes of the national cuisine. The attendees highly appreciated the spirit of victory and national unity of the Azerbaijani people.
In conclusion, Ambassador Rashad Ismayilov underlined that Victory Day symbolizes not only Azerbaijan’s military success but also the unity, determination, and national pride of its people.
