Meeting with the Azerbaijani Community Held at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Sultanate of Oman
The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Sultanate of Oman hosted a meeting with members of the Azerbaijani community residing in the country. Ambassador Rashad Ismayilov delivered remarks, underscoring that the continuous strengthening of engagement with Azerbaijani nationals living in Oman remains one of the Embassy’s key priorities.
The Ambassador highlighted that fostering unity among Azerbaijani compatriots abroad around the national interests of the Republic of Azerbaijan, enhancing their social activity, and further consolidating their ties with the homeland constitute essential areas of the Embassy’s work. In this regard, particular emphasis was placed on the activities of the Azerbaijan Diaspora Support Fund, established by a decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Fund’s instrumental role in supporting the initiatives of Azerbaijanis abroad.
Discussions during the meeting also addressed the integration of Azerbaijanis residing in Oman into the local society, as well as the preservation and promotion of Azerbaijani culture, national and spiritual values, and traditions. Participants exchanged views on prospective directions for cooperation and joint initiatives.
