A commemoration event marking the anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Sultanate of Oman.
The event was attended by representatives of Omani public institutions and members of the Azerbaijani community.
The ceremony began with a one-minute moment of silence in memory of the victims of the Khojaly tragedy.
In his speech, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Oman, Rashad Ismayilov, provided information about the massacre committed against civilians in the city of Khojaly in February 1992. He emphasized that this tragedy constituted a gross violation of the norms and principles of international humanitarian law.
The Ambassador also stressed the importance of raising international awareness about the Khojaly tragedy and ensuring justice.
As part of the event, a video dedicated to the Khojaly tragedy was screened.
