An Article Dedicated to the Restoration of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day Published in Omani Media
A comprehensive article dedicated to the Restoration of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day (October 18) was published in the 20 October 2025 issue of Oman’s prestigious Arabic-language newspaper, Al-Watan.
In the article, H.E. Rashad Ismayilov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Sultanate of Oman, emphasized the historical significance of Azerbaijan regaining its independence in 1991, noting that this day symbolizes the will and national unity of the Azerbaijani people.
The Ambassador stated that, thanks to the farsighted policies of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the foundations of the modern Azerbaijani state were laid, and under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, this strategic development path continues successfully.
The article highlighted that Azerbaijan has gained recognition in the international arena as a reliable partner, a guarantor of energy security, a protector of Islamic heritage, and a center of tolerance.
