On 29 April 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Sultanate of Oman, Rashad Ismayilov, held a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of the National Centre for Statistics and Information of Oman, Dr. Khalifa Abdullah Al-Barwani.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in the fields of statistical data exchange, digital transformation, data-driven governance, and the application of modern technologies.
Both sides emphasized the importance of sharing experience in the development of statistical systems, implementation of innovative approaches, and international cooperation.
The meeting also explored prospects for strengthening cooperation between the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan and the National Centre for Statistics and Information of Oman, including the implementation of joint projects and the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding in the future.
