May 19, 2025, the first consular consultations were held between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman
The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Mr. Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, while the Omani delegation was headed by Mr. Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Mabsali, Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman.
The event was attended by Mr. Rashad Ismayilov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Sultanate of Oman, responsible officials of the foreign ministries of both countries, as well as representatives from the Ministries of Justice, Internal Affairs, Education, and Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the consultations, the current state and future prospects of cooperation in the consular sphere between the two countries were discussed, including the signing of bilateral documents in the relevant field.
