Meeting Between Ambassador Rashad Ismayilov and the Minister of Social Development of the Sultanate of Oman
On 17 July 2025, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Sultanate of Oman, H.E. Mr. Rashad Ismayilov, held a meeting with H.E. Dr. Laila bint Ahmed Al Najjar, Minister of Social Development of the Sultanate of Oman.
During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Oman in the field of social development, including women’s integration into society, strengthening family institutions, social protection of individuals with special needs, and improving overall social welfare.
Ambassador Rashad Ismayilov briefed the Omani side on the reforms carried out in Azerbaijan in the area of social policy, the implementation of relevant state programs, and the achievements made. He emphasized Azerbaijan’s commitment to enhancing international cooperation in the social sphere.
Minister Dr. Laila bint Ahmed Al Najjar provided detailed information on Oman’s strategies and initiatives in the field of social development and expressed her appreciation for the prospects of expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Both parties expressed their mutual interest in organizing future experience-sharing initiatives, establishing direct contacts between relevant institutions, and exploring possibilities for joint projects.
The meeting was held in a spirit of mutual understanding and cooperation.
