Embassy of Uzbekistan in Oman hosted a meeting of ambassadors from Turkic-speaking countries, accredited in Sultanate of Oman - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan Turkey and Hungary - to celebrate the recognition of December 15th as World Turkic Languages Family Day, proclaimed at the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Assembly in Samarkand (Uzbekistan).
During the meeting, we discussed the organization of a joint cultural and humanitarian event in the Sultanate of Oman to mark this significant occasion, with the aim of introducing omani society to the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic world and fostering intercultural exchange between the Turkic-speaking nations and Sultanate of Oman.
At the same time, within the framework of the event, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Sultanate of Oman, Rashad Ismayilov, delivered a speech on the topic, highlighting the significance of World Turkic Languages Family Day and noting the contribution of this initiative to strengthening linguistic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation among the Turkic peoples.
