Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva visited the Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Centre in Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman.
Ms. Leyla Aliyeva was welcomed at the Center by the Executive Director of the Medical City, Ms. Siham Sinaniyya.
During the visit, the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation toured various departments of the Center and reviewed the advanced medical equipment used in the treatment of cancer patients.
At the conclusion of the visit, gifts on behalf of Leyla Aliyeva were presented to the medical center for patients undergoing treatment there.
It should be noted that the complex was established under the directives of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said with the aim of providing specialized medical services to cancer patients.
In 2023, the medical center received international accreditation from Joint Commission International (JCI). The complex became the first public healthcare institution in Oman to obtain such international accreditation within a short period of its operation.
