Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva paid a visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
Within the framework of the visit, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva met in Muscat with Her Highness Sayyida Ahad bint Abdullah bin Hamad Al Busaidiyah, the First Lady of the Sultanate of Oman.
Expressing her pleasure at welcoming Leyla Aliyeva to Oman, Her Highness Sayyida Ahad bint Abdullah bin Hamad Al Busaidiyah подчеркнула that Ms. Aliyeva’s public activities are highly appreciated not only in Azerbaijan but also in many countries, including the Arab states of the Gulf.
The First Lady of Oman noted that she is well informed about the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s support for environmental protection, art and culture, as well as children in need of special care, and her active involvement in charitable initiatives. She also stated that she possesses extensive knowledge about craftsmanship, carpet weaving, and textile traditions in Azerbaijan.
Expressing her satisfaction with visiting the country, Leyla Aliyeva conveyed her gratitude for the meeting and for the attention and hospitality extended to her. Emphasizing that this was her first visit to Oman, the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation expressed confidence that it would give impetus to future cooperation between relevant institutions of the two countries in the fields of culture, art, carpet weaving, and textile production.
Highlighting Azerbaijan’s rich traditions in carpet weaving and textile arts, Leyla Aliyeva underscored the importance of exchanging experience in these areas.
During the conversation, the sides agreed to explore the development of joint projects between Azerbaijan and Oman in the aforementioned fields.
