According to the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, another evacuation of Azerbaijani citizens who had remained in the cities of Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates due to the war situation in the Middle East has been carried out.
Over the past few days, as a result of the coordinated efforts of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the United Arab Emirates and the Consulate General in Dubai, Azerbaijani citizens who wished to return to the country were registered and included in a list.
Subsequently, the citizens were transported by special buses arranged by our diplomatic missions to Oman International Airport, with the coordination of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Sultanate of Oman, and were then sent to Azerbaijan on a special flight operated by Azerbaijan Airlines.
On this flight, 195 citizens of Azerbaijan, 1 citizen of Türkiye, and 2 foreign citizens holding residence permits in Azerbaijan are returning to the country.
The situation in the region is being closely monitored, and the safety and security of our citizens remains a top priority.
